Privacy Policy
Effective April 18, 2026
Jay's Lens ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website or hire us for photography or videography services on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide — name, phone number, email address, property address, project details, and any other information you submit through our quote form, by phone, text, or email.
- Project files — photos and videos created during a booked shoot, along with related notes, invoices, and contracts.
- Automatic data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications — records of phone calls, text messages, chat widget conversations, and emails between you and Jay's Lens.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to quote requests and provide our services.
- Schedule shoots, deliver finished photos and videos, and process payments.
- Send service-related messages, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Improve our website, marketing, and customer experience.
- Display sample work in our portfolio (only with permission — see Section 5).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors use it. We may use third-party services such as web analytics and embedded form/chat widgets that may set their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as intended.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers — such as our quote-form, chat-widget, email, payment, scheduling, hosting, and gallery-delivery providers, who process information on our behalf.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of business assets.
5. Use of Photos in Our Portfolio
For real estate shoots, we may display exterior, interior, drone, or video content in our portfolio, on social media, and in marketing materials. If you do not want your project featured, please tell us in writing before or shortly after the shoot and we will honor that request. Engagement, wedding, and personal-shoot images are only used in our portfolio with the subjects' permission.
6. Data Retention
We retain client information and project files for as long as needed to provide services, respond to follow-up requests, comply with legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. Final delivered photos and videos may be archived for an extended period for client re-download requests.
7. Your Choices & Rights
You may:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct or delete your personal information.
- Opt out of marketing messages at any time.
- Ask us to stop using your project in our portfolio (subject to materials already published).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
